You say in your thoughts on Gay porn that, gay porn can be used as an outlet for gay men who are struggling with there lifestyle to express there fantasies etc. You say Gay couples use gay porn to spice up there sex life. You say men in gay porn can choose to be dominant or submissive.  Well can't all of this be said about Heterosexual Porn as well. You make it sound like the girls aren't given any options, whatsover that they are always being just used as objects, and I think thats ridiculous.

Indecency is a joke in my opinion. I believe this world would be a much better place if we didn’t shield everyone from Indecency on television.  Everyone is way too uptight and it’s really annoying sometimes.  If everyone could just relax we’d be a much better nation I believe, we’d be a lot calmer and less war hungry.  Channel Four in the UK should be cheered for what they are doing, and they shouldn’t have had there advertisement not allowed to be shown before Kill Bill. They should be allowed to show it before a Disney movie because everyone is way too uptight.  And this bull about them having to show the advertisement on TV after a certain hour is ridiculous.  Kids should be allowed to see stuff like that so they don’t take it in the wrong context. We’d be a lot better off if television shows were uncensored and stuff like sex and curse words were allowed.  Because it works in other nations like Germany and other European countries, they are all fine and a lot more laid back then we are in my humble opinion.  Stuff like the Janet Jackson incident would not have batted an eyelash in those countries. No one cares about people cursing or having sex on TV because they are actually concerned with real problems going on in there societies, like the war and I don’t know global warming. But in America our news shows are concerned with what happened on a different television show. It’s all really stupid if you ask me and I am really getting sick of America because of this reason.  I think we could all learn a valuable lesson from these other countries because even though we may be one of the most advanced nations in the world, we really could learn a lot about chilling out.

I chose to focus one of my posts this week on a couple of the obscenity cases that were discussed in the lectures. I’d first like to talk about Holywell Street. This place sounds like the first Yahoo or Google for pornography.  A place you could go to look for several different types of porn which may spark your interest. This place eventually led to Lord Campbell making an act known as Obscene Publications Act of 1857.  He said this act would eliminate a poison worse then arsenic strychnine etc. . Of course he was refereeing to the sale of pornography. I think this is total bullshit. Calling pornography a poison is just sick and wrong.  There is nothing wrong with watching or looking at some porn to release frustration. This is just lousy propaganda Campbell was using to turn his people against something he found offensive but the people had up until this time the right to look at. He had a personal vendetta against William Dugdale and used this act to have a reason to arrest him.  Also I believe that just because he was selling a book Yokel’s Preceptor a guide to find other gay guys in the streets of London, which is no reason to warrant an arrest.  Campbell said it corrupts the minds of young men out there and molds them to become homosexuals.  This is just stupid people can make up there own minds and that book is for people who are already interested in men and it won’t help persuade them to become gay.

Finally http://loc8ed.com/cpblogs/Stefiesays/ aka Stefiesays is another favorite. We seem to share a lot of the same views on several topics so I enjoy reading this.

The ideas of this website are wrong and misleading. O.A.G I think your wrong. Every statement there is easily refutable. For example one of the bubbles says "Men like variety in women so porn use helps a man stay faithful to his woman." There is nothing wrong with that statement, yes it may seem a little harsh. But lots of guys watch porn to fufill there urges so they will remain faithful to there woman. Its called a fantasy and many if not every man fantasies about a woman who he is not currently with. Porn helps to release these urges in a more relationship friendly way. Another statement that should not be a myth is "Women who become strippers and hookers choose these careers, so who are we to judge them?" Yes some women are forced down the path of becoming a hooker, but guess what One Angry Girl. These woman do have choices there is very rare cases when women are held against there will to become hookers. many woman become strippers because it pays well and they need the money. THey weren't forced into becominng a stripper, they have a choice, because we are all human beings and that is a god given right to choose. This so called myth really gets to me. "Porn is an outlet or safety valve for men who might otherwise do Bad things." Are you saying its not OAG? Because you should read above when i wrote men have urges, maybe sometimes even bad urges, but just like movies and video games, porn helps to control these urges and control these "bad things" of course there are cases when some men cannot be controlled by pornography but i guarentee you its a much smaller margin then men who watch porn instead of acting in violent activities. "Porn enchances relationships." It does enhance a relationship if the two people are both into porn. I have several couple friends who i Know for a fact watch porn together because it helps to spice up there sex life, try new things, experiment etc.. Sometimes it helps greatly, its a big reason why the pornography industry is so huge. Finally i will end on this myth. "Porn is harmless and has no effect on the person using it." Porn is harmless, it is such a huge industry, if it was so harmful as your "myth" implies then why isn't there a lot more violent crimes being commented all the time. Mostly every guy i know watches porn, on a regular basis. And guess what angry girl. They are all completly normal nice guys who would never hurt or do anything wrong to anyone. And I am sure that most of the guys who watch porn are like my friends, completly harmless. Before you "clear things up" One Angry Girl. Maybe you should think about both sides of the myth. Because after looking at this site, I figured out what the myth really is, its not what the people are saying, but what the site is saying.

I haven’t been blogging much since I kind of got lazy and
fell behind. But I am going to start posting a lot. One because I want a good
grade in this class. Two because I have been watching all the lectures and I
have a lot I want to write about.  I feel
bad about not posting as much as everyone else has been but I am going to try
and right my wrongs and accept the consequences of being a slacker.  Hopefully everyone will be reading my posts
now for the coming weeks and actually enjoy hearing my input.  Anyway on to my thoughts of the lectures from
Week 9. 

I have decided to play the roll of Devils advocate in my
thoughts of this weeks lecture.  I like
to stir up controversy so even though what I am about to write may seem pretty
intense I want you to know I do not share these feelings, I am only writing
this because I like to see things from the other point of view, I believe its
more interesting.  In this blog I will be
talking about Landslide productions and the Avalanche case.  The question brought up in this case
was.  Is trafficking and selling child
pornography the same as producing it. 
This site provided you with the means to go to sites dedicated to child
pornography. However they did not produce it from there own home.   Thomas Reedy was sentenced to life in prison
for this.  I don’t think his sentence
should have been so harsh.  Thomas Reedy
was the middleman in this case,  he
believed, just like I do that he wasn’t doing anything wrong.  I think he should have gotten a lesser
sentence such as 25-50 years in jail or maybe even less.  What ever happened to the people running the
sites that Thomas Reedy’s site provided links to? I think dealing with those
people who were actually producing and distributing child pornography over the
net from there own servers are the ones at fault.  Yes I think providing links on a website that
leads you to a different site dedicated to child pornography is wrong and I
think he should get punished.  But life
in prison when he had nothing to do with the actual creation of the pornography
in the first place is ludicrous.  Because
if you say that then shouldn’t Google  or
Yahoo be charged with distributing child pornography.  I bet if you do a search on one of those two
sites with the words “Child Pornography” you are going to get a few hits.  Why aren’t the CEOs of Google and Yahoo in
Prison for life for giving people the means to find Child pornography?  Where is the line drawn for whose fault any
of this is?

After watching the Frontline Special I was left in awe.  I never knew the exent of what was going on overseas.  It was such a sad and depressing feature to watch.  I found that the most interesting story was the one about Catiya and her husband.  It is so sad to think that this woman was taken from her family and used as a sex slave, whored out to 100s of men out there.  In my opinion its worse then murder, she is being forced to have sex with other men and she isn’t being payed, being treated like an object and not like a human being.  It truly makes me sick to know that other human beings can act this way.  I was so upset when they showed her son and how upset he was that his mom was gone for so long.  The other thing that really got to me was the fact that women were selling and trading these girls around like this.  You would think a woman would understand the pain and suffering these woman must go through.  I am glad for the woman who get out of it like Tanya did.  I was so upset when they said that the first person involved in the trafficing acctually knew the person i was sick.  It reminded me of the movie Hostel, where kids were lured to these tourtre houses in europe and tourtred and murdered.  Now I thought that didn’t really exist but I was wrong, stuff like this does exisit and it is even worse when helpess woman are involved.

Jeff and Susan Owen residents of Washington were charged in 2005 with a violation of an adult entertainment zoning regulation in Kitsnap County.  They claimed that since their home was within 1000 feet of a public school they had warrant to shut their business down.  They were running a adult entertainment business from inside their own home.  Previous to the trial Jeff Owens took the County to court several times over a matter of a county construction project near their home.  He suspects the reason the county brought him on trial is in retaliation to his prior problems which he caused them.  Their attorney filed to get the court dismissed because of how ludicrous the charges were and defended the Owens right to Freedom of Speech and Expression. The court dismissed the case soon after because the judge ruled that what the couple was doing in the privacy of their home did not violate the ruling of the code.  Another reason that this case was thrown out was because the website was being hosted on a website from Illinois.  And a company in Seattle collected the fees for a subscription to the website.  This shows how lenient our courts have become about the pornography industry.

Gonzo pornography is the future of pornography today.  That is internet produced films and series, such as bangbus, milfhunter, dorm angels etc… is where the industry is headed.  I am not saying that Pornographic material will not be sold in video stores and adult shops anymore. I just believe that all of these videos will soon become available to watch and download on the internet.  A few websites such as Vivid.Com and Wicked.Com offer most to all of there movies to stream online if you are a member of those sites and pay a certain monthly fee.  Sooner or later every company will be offering these services for there movies.  Sites such as Bangbus and Milfhunter are different though.  Most of these women are amateurs and are not known by millions of people all over.  This I believe draws and appeal to these sites.  I am not going to sit here and say I have never been to any of the websites I have mentioned above, because we all know I’d be lying. How would I know so much about these places unless I visited them myself.  And from my experience when watching the Gonzo pornography, I feel more of a connection to it because there isn’t lavish scenery and cheesy music and costumes.  Its just raw sex and that’s what I want to see.  That’s why I believe the future of porn is within these sites.  They are springing up everywhere. Sites like MilfHunter now how lots of sites attached to that known as bonus sites such as Captainstabbin, Topshelfmodels and others.  One monthly fee gets you access to all of these different sites so it is really appealing to people who want to see more then one type of category of porn.  And the only thing professional retailers such as vivid and wicked can do about these sites is try to compete on the online market with them. But they can’t offer everything this smaller, reality sites can give you.  If anything its like the current trend of reality shows on television today.  No one realized what a big hit they were going to make and I believe that’s the same direction that porn is going in today.
