I figured for my first true blog I want to talk about something that’s near and dear to my heart; the television show “Friends.” The show always makes references to pornography and sex and I thought it would be a good way to get started since I am new to blogging. I posted a little bit of a transcript from an episode of “Friends” entitled, “The one with the Sharks.” The basic summary of this episode is that Monica goes to pay a surprise visit to Chandler in Tulsa, Arizona. When she gets to his hotel she walks in on him while he is watching pornography.. When she walks in, he quickly switches the channel away from the pornography and onto the discovery channel. She saw that he was masturbating and then saw the TV which displayed sharks swimming around. Monica in her infinite wisdom figured that this meant Chandler had some sort of Shark Fetish. Being that they are married she wants to do anything to please her husband. I think this brings up a wonderful topic for discussion. How far would you go for your significant other?
That’s not the only thing I wanted to mention about the transcript. You’ll notice Chandler says “I was just watching regular porn, just some good old fashion girl on girl American action.” I saw this episode a couple of times and when watching it the audience responded to this with a roar or laughter. Its funny how Lesbian porn has become as accepted as another national Past time like Baseball.

Hey there fellow students of Com 497. Wow why did I take this course huh? I am a communication major at UB and honestly I couldn’t get into some of the classes I wanted to. I Am a Sophmore in my second semester here from Long Island (Don’t start judging me based on that. Not the avg Long Islander, at least I like to think i am not haha.)
As I was browsing through Comm classes i’d want to take this struck my eye. Not only the subject material but the type of class. I Have never taking an Online class and I really wanted to see what it was like. Honestly I’ve been spending most of yesterday and now this afternoon reading about this class in my book and obviosly checking the blog a lot haha. Well Thats it for now. feel free to talk to me anytime you want on Aim.
